barrow-wight poem

in keeping with my last post on halloween, here is one of my favorite poems to accompany

Cold be hand and heart and bone,
and cold be sleep under stone:
never more to wake on stony bed,
never, til the Sun fails and the Moon is dead.
In the black wind the stars shall die,
and still on gold here let them lie,
till the dark lord lifts his hand
over dead sea and withered land

halloween

yeah, I totally understand why halloween is about being scary, but not for the reasons most think. It's a bit frightening what can happen to ones friends when they have had way too much sugar and you give them the wrong things to play with. Ok maybe most of my friends are just scary all the time (ie lor and sarah, cat noises anyone?). But anyways, it was quite an amusing evening with the random costumes and lor being so insanely scared of the movie, all the photo taking and other things. It's excellent to spend a night with 4 of the people who I'm super close with, and just let loose for a bit. basically they rock.
